Job description / Role
We are looking for innovative Category Specialists with an analytical mindset to join our Asian & Seafood Category teams. The Category Specialist will be tasked with working in close collaboration with the sales team and providing training, performing in-depth market research and preparing sales forecasts, as well as updating existing marketing strategies. He/she should also be able to amend sales policies and make recommendations for business growth.
• Providing product demonstrations to staff and clients, and taking the lead in resolving complaints.
• Analyzing sales team performance in the specified category and scheduling training/refresher sessions as required
• Conduct market research and sharing findings with the team.
• Working alongside the team to draw up strategies to increase customer base and sales.
• Providing accurate sales forecasts and allocating resources so targets are met.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with customers that are built on trust, and encouraging the rest of the sales team to follow this example.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or similar.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in a Sales environment with a focus on Asian ingredients / cuisine
• Must possess a valid UAE driving license
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proven networking capabilities
• Strong degree of diplomacy, tact and the ability to work with people from various etheric backgrounds.
