Job description / Role
The Certification Authority (CA) Services department, is part of the DarkMatter's Public Key infrastructure (PKI) Division. This department is in charge of managing and keep the CA system up and running in order to provide CA services to all related parties. The CA system is composed of certificate issuing subsystems, Registration Authority (RA) and Validation Authority (VA) servers, which allow to control the full life cycle of a digital certificate. As a CA Operator, the candidate will work with the CA issuing system, its configuration in terms of CA definitions, certificate profiles, CRL profiles, OCSP responses. In addition, the candidate must assure the correct configuration of the different users, the interaction with other servers (RA, VA), and the overall functionality of a CA.
You will have the following duties within DarkMatters Certification Authority Job, you will be required to take charge of the creation of root and subordinate CAs according to predefined procedures. You'll create and define the certificate profiles, end user profiles, CT logs, CRLs and OCSP responses will be a big part of this job. You will manage and execute ceremonies for new crypto tokens, making sure the Certification Authority operators follows WebTrust and other PKI guidelines/audit requirements, troubleshoot errors and issues within CA certificate/CRL issuance, Help solving and investigating security incidents until final resolution.
Requirements
You will have experience in creation of CA certificates, Key Ceremonies, Certificate Profiles, CRLs, OCSP responses, CT Logs also your practical knowledge of ASN.1, OpenSSL, PEM/DER, PKCS(7/11/12). Your understanding of certificate usage within TLS, S/MIME, Code Signing, IPSec. Also you will need to have an understanding of Internet browser forum guidelines. Your degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar will have you in good standing for this role. At least 3 years of experience in using digital certificate technologies (TLS secure web servers, VPN, code signing, secure email. As a plus you would have managed at least one commercial Public Key Infrastructure system
