Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Inspire Selection is recruiting a FEMALE CFO for a local manufacturing business which supplies the construction and engineering industries. Candidates from manufacturing or construction companies are strongly preferred.
This is a brand-new position, created at Group level, to strengthen the SMT. Our client is looking to diversify the SMT and hence is hiring a female candidate.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Enterprise Development
• As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), develop and refine the overall vision and strategy and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure the group maximizes profitability in the short, medium and long term.
• Ensure that strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for the Finance function and that performance is monitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with the overall strategy.
• Ensure the business develops to be best in class as per the capability and maturity model by evolving from ad-hoc beginner level to advanced proficient in order to deliver on its vision and mission of being world class center of excellence in military aviation services.

Strategic Financial Management
• Provide advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, MD and other ad hoc projects/ initiatives concerning the long term capital structuring of the business so that they have funds available to support the achievement of its strategic objectives.

Budgets and Plans
• Direct the preparation and consolidation of the organizational budget and monitor financial performance of the company versus the budget so that the business is aware of forecasted costs and revenues, areas of underperformance are identified and opportunities to improve performance are capitalized upon.

Policies, Processes & Procedures
• Develop and oversee the implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Finance function activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

Financial Statements & Management Accounting
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensure that the financial statements and books of accounts are prepared timely and accurately and in line with accounting policies and schedules and international accounting standards to ensure that the organization’s performance and position at year end are adequately understood.

Financial Management
• Ensure the development and implementation of funding programs and financial strategies to ensure the attainment and delivery of plans and objectives.
• Lead the negotiations to secure or renew contracts with financial advisors, bankers and insurers; and advise management on appropriate strategies to enhance service value to the organization.
• Ensure that financial procedures and processes are in place and are being followed, to assure financial control of the business activities and the safeguarding of the assets of the organization.
• Set financial performance targets and measures to ensure that financial resources are used to optimal efficiency.

Financial Reporting
• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of Management Reports, Audit Committee & Board Reports.
• Ensure the adoption of all necessary risk assessment measures to protect the organization assets e.g. internal control and proper risk insurance coverage.
• Direct the various financial and organizational studies in order to analyze and suggest optimal utilization of resources.
• Lead the preparation of financial forecasts and document issues/ findings in financial analysis reports and propose recommendations.

Treasury
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure that the financial costs are minimized and credibility is leveraged for maximum benefit and limited exposure to underlying liabilities and assets.
• Oversee new debt financing to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Direct the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the organizational cash flow statements and bank reconciliation statements when required to ensure alignment with the set regulations.

Internal Control and Audit
• Develop and monitor all internal controls to ensure assets are safeguarded, financial risks are minimized and all statutory requirements are met.
• Foster an effective working relationship with auditors to ensure that all recommendations and findings identified by audit are acted upon promptly with any necessary action implemented.
• Oversee the compliance to governmental/ legal procedures and pinpoint areas of non-compliance internally to ensure their timely resolution.
• Direct Internal Audit in evaluating the risk management processes and advocating continued improvement by conducting the annual enterprise risk assessment to develop a plan of audit engagements for the upcoming year (note: does not take direct responsibility for making/executing risk management decisions for the enterprise

Enterprise Risk Management & Financial Compliance
• Manage the ERM Program by providing advisory services to ensure appropriate coverage in developing risk profiles and risk tolerance and to identify risks and opportunities assessing their likelihood and impact.
• Lead the improvement of risk capabilities and risk management through the development and implementation of a risk management framework by ensuring that internal controls and procedures are functional, adequate, and in compliance with regulations and standards.

Contracts and Pricing
• Provide effective support to the Commercial and Operations functions in setting contracts pricing and review contracts to ensure abidance with all pricing, costs, and margin requirements and provision of sound financial advices.

Salary:
AED 50,000 to 60,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Recognized professional Certification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Strong and assertive personality
• 15+ years of relevant (top management) experience the financial/ accounting field in a LARGE company
• Prior experience in the UAE at Group level
• Prior experience in the Construction/Building Material industry
• Strong understanding of financial tools and experience managing and implementing enterprise information management and IT systems including ERP systems (experience with ORACLE ERP preferred)
• Advanced problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills.
• Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
