Responsibilities:
- Design and execute innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for cost control and waste reduction.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked.
- Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes are of the highest quality and meet presentation standards.
- Create a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and creativity among kitchen staff.
- Stay current with industry trends and new cooking techniques, incorporating them into the menu as appropriate.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and promptly, making adjustments to menu offerings as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Participate in special events and promotions, showcasing culinary talents and contributing to marketing efforts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment, with a strong portfolio of culinary creations.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of culinary professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with staff and guests.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for food and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Salary:
AED
3,000 to 4,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
