Position Title: Chef De Cuisine
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: up to 16K AED, all-inclusive, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
About the client:
The hiring company is an international food & beverage company with high-end restaurant outlets in Abu Dhabi.
Job Role:
• Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that company systems and standard operating procedures are met for all areas that directly report to him/her
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of commissary production and event execution
• Responsible for working closely with corporate executive chef to assure standards are being met in all other aspects of the commissary operation.
• Must work closely with executive chef in promoting company’s culture, mission and philosophy
• Coordinating meal preparation and service activities within the kitchen
• Review customer orders as they come in, assign tasks to sous chefs and prep cooks, and ensure that food is delivered on time
• Maintain the restaurant’s quality and reputation by monitoring the food that is served to customers
• Chefs de cuisine also taste food and oversee kitchen staff throughout the cooking process, checking to make sure that elements of dishes are properly cooked and seasoned."
• Make key decisions regarding a restaurant’s menu items and offerings
• May work directly with farmers and suppliers to order fresh vegetables and meats and may change menus based on the availability and quality of ingredients
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
Requirements
Requirements:
• 45 years old and below
• Diploma holder or any relevant certificates
• At least 3 years of experience in the same role
• Must have Italian/Mediterranean cuisine background
• Pre-opening experience is a plus
• Ability to meet budgets including labor, food and applicable direct operating costs
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills including delegation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
