EAT WELL RESTAURANT

We are looking for a confident and health focused Chef de cuisine for the launch of The Dubai Herbal & Treatment Centre food and beverage division.

With a hand in menu creation, kitchen management and working closely with the senior team of the facility and alongside a well-known Dubai health restaurant, the role requires the CDC to oversee the serving of fresh and organic cuisine with modern techniques and vibrant flavors.

DHTC has been the leading clinic for complementary and alternative medicine in the UAE for the past 13 years and are now extending this vision into food and beverage aiming to raise the benchmark in healthy living.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions.

Key Criteria:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
- Conduct daily shift briefings to Kitchen Colleagues
- Manage inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and the issuing of supplies and equipment for food production
- Cost menus accurately
- Ensure all Kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectations
- Liaise daily with the Outlet Manager to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
- Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers
- Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
- Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.

Requirements

- Certification in Food and Beverage/ Catering would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years plus of relevant experience in the catering industry

Functional Skills
- Able to communicate in English (verbal, reading and writing).
- In depth knowledge of produce and food preparation.
- Previous leadership experience in the Culinary field required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
