Job description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, maintaining efficiency and quality standards
- Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and chef's instructions
- Collaborate with the executive chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies for your section
- Contribute to menu planning and cost control efforts
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Creativity and innovation in dish preparation and presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform kitchen duties for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for food and commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction
Additional information
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
