Job description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.

  • Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, such as sauces, fish, or pastry
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff within your section
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and kitchen hygiene protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste in your section
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery
  • Participate in menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations efficiently

Qualifications

  • Relevant culinary trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong technical cooking skills across a variety of techniques and cuisines
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety requirements, HACCP standards, and kitchen hygiene protocols
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in menu planning, portion control, and food cost management
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for culinary excellence and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Familiarity with local UAE cuisine and food regulations is a plus
  • Multicultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage
