Job description / Role
Salary circa AED 35k/month
Our client operates in the oil & gas industry and has a large office in Dubai.
We’re currently looking for a highly technical young professional Accountant of European nationality to join the team in this newly created position.
We’re searching for someone who has a passion for numbers. This role will be ‘accounting’ focused and there will not be much interaction with the business itself.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable, GL, Financial Accounting functions
- Supervise and mentor the team
- Develop internal controls
- Ensure all payments are made on time
- Prepare Trial Balance
- Prepare complex bank recs
- Liaison with banks
Requirements
- European/western national
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
- Must have Professional Qualification (ICAEW, ACCA)
- 10+ years relevant experience in financial accounting.
- 5+ years related work experience a large MNC
- Experience in audit, ideally big 4 plus industry experience
- Expert in Oracle
- Expert in IFRS
