Job description / Role
The successful candidate would have experience in a financial leadership role for a conglomerate or holding firm with diversified investments, preferably from a family owned or privately held business. This role reports directly to the board, as such board level reporting within a family / privately held group is essential.
The Role
* Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team at group level, with oversight of individual departments and portfolio companies
* Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO, members of the executive management team, and the board
* Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
* Advising on long-term business and financial planning
* Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
* Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
Requirements
The Candidate
* Experience in a CFO or equivalent position for a diversified group or holding company
* Exposure to industries including but not limited to, real estate, retail, industrial, hospitality, would be preferred
* 15 years+ experience managing finance teams within prominent firms
* A commercial and strategic approach to the financial management of the group, and portfolio companies
* Able to work with high level stakeholders, with previous experience presenting and reporting to board members
* UAE and/or GCC experience is essential
* ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified
* Able to live and work in Abu Dhabi
