Job description / Role
Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading UAE Group based in Abu Dhabi.
The Role
Lead the Human Resources function across the organization by overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive HR initiatives that enhance organizational performance, foster workforce development, and maintain high employee engagement in order to attract, develop, and retain top talent while promoting a culture that supports growth and compliance with UAE Labour Law
* Act as a member of the executive management team, participate in the development and refinement of the Group's overall vision, strategy and objectives, and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure the Group maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability.
* In conjunction with the Group CEO, formulate and direct the implementation of the department specific strategy in line with the Group's vision, mission and corporate objectives.
* Ensure that the overall business strategy and objectives are translated into annual operational business plans and targets for the department and the performance is monitored.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the management team, to synergize efforts across the Group for the successful achievement of strategic objectives.
* Direct the preparation and consolidation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues; areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
* Direct the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the Group Leadership & Board of Directors informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
* Ensure maintenance of an up-to-date organizational structure, including functional structures details & job descriptions for all roles, to meet business requirements.
* Lead the annual manpower planning process, aligning it with approved organizational structure.
* Oversee the design and maintenance of compensation and benefits schemes to attract, motivate, and retain employees, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with UAE Labour Law.
* Oversee the design and implementation of a talent acquisition plan, aligned with manpower plan and talent acquisition objectives.
* Maintain ongoing communication with business unit heads to understand talent acquisition needs and provide updates on departmental vacancies.
* Manage relationships with search and recruitment vendors/agencies to facilitate the fulfilment of vacancies efficiently.
* Oversee the execution of HR services, in coordination with other departments, including payroll, leaves administration, record keeping, consolidation of attendance records, employment contract management, resolving employee queries, etc. to facilitate efficient operations of the HR function.
* Oversee maintenance of employee records and contracts and review employee onboarding / exit documentation.
* Ensure the accurate preparation of payroll information and data for employees including allowances, benefits, and other entitlements and deductions, in close coordination with the Finance function.
* Ensure that any employee relations issues, including complaints/ grievances, are addressed through appropriate processes and that disciplinary actions are taken promptly, in accordance with company policy and local labour laws.
* Spearhead the creation of clear career ladders and learning maps that outline the steps and competencies required for employees to progress within the group.
* Lead the development and maintenance a structured succession planning process that ensures critical positions have identified successors who are ready to step in, to minimizing leadership vacuums.
* Ensure active collaboration with departments and oversee the identification of training and development needs for all employees.
* Foster effective formal and informal relationships with relevant regulatory and government departments, agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to foster cooperation and facilitate project approvals.
* Advise departments on interpreting government processes and resolving related issues to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree Human Resources or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
* Master's degree is required. Experience:
* 20+ years of professional experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* A proven track record of dynamic and successful leadership in Human Resources.
* A proven track record of deploying forward-looking strategic, managerial, and operational methods (including future/cutting-edge technologies).
* Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations within UAE
