Employment: Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to develop the group marketing strategy and vision as well as support and oversee the marketing activities.

You will report to the CEO and lead a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals. You will be primarily responsible for helping the group gather market intelligence, generate group awareness, create group wide marketing programs (loyalty), generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire group, as well as being the custodian of the Chalhoub overarching consumer experience.

We are looking for a ground-breaking leader with strategic, creative, innovative and financial acumen as well as a strong business intellect to take our organization to the next level.

What you’ll do:

• You will capture market and consumer insights and trends as well as direct the market research efforts of the Group and share it across the Group through a marketing platform.
• You will provide actionable data for all verticals and brands regarding trends, campaigns, conversion, consumer experience.
• You will oversee SEO, SEM, Performance Marketing, CRM, Operations departments, customer experience, PR, communications, content etc...
• You will build strong marketing and customer experience capabilities across the group
• You will lead the Chalhoub group Loyalty program from strategy down to execution, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and higher customer life time value
• You will ensure dates driven decisions
• Develop and implement marketing techniques that will drive new customers while insuring we set specific marketing strategies to retain our existing customers
• Evolve Chalhoub Elite program to become a sustainable profitable high net worth individuals’ program
• Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
• Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across all available channels (digital, press etc.). The role will also define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall objectives
• Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
• Create a solid network of strategic partnerships with the media, digital platforms, and adtech organizations
• Maintain relations with customers, suppliers, and brands by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars
• Making sure the group has the right speakers’ database and relevant themes rollout through seminars, workshops..
• Continue to develop and strengthen our unique and compelling voice to build brand awareness, relevance, reputation and esteem among our consumers
• Ensure that the Chalhoub brand is strong and consistent in every marketing tactic, and that the Chalhoub story is communicated with creativity and impact to the appropriate target.
• Overseeing all marketing activities across the full marketing mix and share knowledge, experience, success and failures.
• Maximizing opportunities for online revenue generation through multiple channels by leverage the group scale
• Assessing new marketing opportunities for generating business
• Develop a content strategy and a data driven models for content creation
• Keeping up to date with industry and technological changes that impact the business

Requirements

What you need to succeed in this role:

We are looking for an excellent entrepreneurial CMO balancing a practical mindset with a creative business acumen who can lead people through complex marketing operations. You will possess tremendous communication and leadership skills, with proven success in traditional and innovative campaigns across the broad spectrum of today’s marketing channels.

• Have well-rounded marketing / business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on marketing creative initiatives
• Have a degree in business administration, marketing, management or equivalent
• Have thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance.
• Are able to understand changing market dynamics, translating them into actionable strategies to achieve company objectives.
• Have advanced experience working with a variety of traditional and modern marketing and communications functions including: branding and messaging to different target audiences.
• Can demonstrate experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
• Have solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
• Are able to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
• Have an understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance etc.)
• Be an entrepreneurial leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
• Have outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
• Have strong knowledge of website analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, WebTrends.
• Have a strong understanding of marketing segmentation with strong technical CRM capabilities
• Can handle big data, track metrics, and process figures.
