Chief Mechanical Engineer

Job description / Role

• Lead and manage all mechanical works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee and coordinate with sub-contractors for the execution of mechanical systems.
• Manage the submission and approval process for shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Monitor, track, and report on project KPIs to senior management.
• Review and manage interim payment certificates (IPCs).
• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations and codes (DEWA, CDC, DM, etc.).
• Deliver projects through all phases of execution, from start to handover, with a focus on quality and safety.

• Minimum 12 years of total experience in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and codes, including DEWA, CDC, DM, and other relevant standards.
• Proven track record with at least two full project lifecycles (residential or hotel projects).
• Demonstrated experience in managing sub-contractors and overseeing project execution.
• Strong experience with KPI tracking, IPC management, material approvals, and shop drawing submissions.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 27,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
