About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Resource Geologist to join our mining group company based in Dubai. This is a critical leadership role focusing on resource modeling, geological database management, and delivering high-quality resource estimates for our gold mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all resource geology activities, including geological modeling and estimation.
• Oversee the geological database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with international reporting standards (JORC/NI 43-101).
• Develop and implement robust resource estimation methodologies and QA/QC protocols.
• Collaborate closely with exploration teams to integrate new data into resource models.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior geologists.

Key requirements

• Experience in resource geology and database management within the gold mining sector.
• Proven expertise in geological modeling, resource estimation, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in geology software such as Surpac, Datamine, Micromine, Leapfrog, etc.
• Excellent understanding of international resource reporting codes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai, UAE on a full-time basis.
