Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a well-known entity is currently looking for a Chief Risk Officer to enable the efficient and effective governance and management of the investment department’s risk landscape.

· In this role, you will design and implement Risk Management Framework related to the investment platform to cover Operational, Portfolio and Counterparty risk management.
· You will work closely with the investment team to analyse each deal from an investment risk perspective as well as the impact of each deal on a portfolio risk concept.
· You will also ensure that the firm operates within the risk appetite set by the board.

Requirements

In order to be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related quantitative field is required
· MBA and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative and/or finance field is preferred
· CFA and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) preferred
· Minimum of 15 years’ international experience in the investment risk field culminating in a senior investment risk role covering multiple asset classes within asset management firm or related financial institution
· Comprehensive knowledge in the principles and theories of investment and investment-related risk management best practice
· Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory environment for investments
· Thorough understanding of organizational management skills needed to achieve effective and efficient operations
· Numerate and analytical (with solid understanding of financial markets)
