Robert Half is partnering with a fast-growing global banking company focused on the Asia and Middle East regions, driving a dynamic digital transformation.

The Role

As the Head of Risk, you will provide oversight and governance for operational, market, and credit risk, embedding a culture of risk-awareness across departments. Reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer, your key responsibilities include:

* Maintaining the group's risk register and preparing MI for the quarterly Group Risk Committee
* Leading the monthly Committee and logging incidents to implement remediation steps
* Reducing operational risk and strengthening enterprise risk management and controls
* Ensuring redundancy processes in technology and liquidity stacks
* Defining and monitoring onboarding parameters, maintaining risk policies and procedures
* Conducting periodic risk assessments and providing robust challenge to the business
* Oversight of the Senior Market & Credit Risk Manager
* Stress testing and monitoring market risk, ensuring adherence to the board's risk appetite
* Monitoring KPIs
* Reviewing client margin conditions and measuring the cost of negative balances
* Approving NOP limits for institutional clients and stress testing funding levels for clearing counterparties
* Monitoring market abuse and suspicious activity

The Candidate

* Proven track record managing operational risk at a bank
* Crypto & FinTech experience a big plus
* Demonstrable leadership and line management experience
* Competent communicator at the senior level

Salary and Benefits

AED 65,000 - AED 70,000, plus company benefits
