Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioural disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Prescribes medication when necessary.

May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May require at least 2-4 years of psychiatry experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to a medical director.

Requirements

- MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution And Completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table.
- Board Certified in Child Psychiatry
- 2 - 5 Years’ Experience Post Qualification.
- Only Arabic speakers will be considered.
- Must be able to apply for DHA / HAAD / MOH License.
