Job description / Role

• To effectively appraise and manage team performance, in line with company policy and procedures, ensuring that business objectives and targets are achieved within appropriate timescales.
• To develop the team to deliver exceptional standards of customer service at all times.
• To plan, develop and control weekly/monthly/annual reports.
• To effectively prepare staff Rota’s and manage holiday scheduling of the team.
• Identifying, maximize and drive sales opportunities from ticket sales and F&B promotions.
• Developing the business to meet the site objectives and targets.
• To maximize profit and minimize loss.
• Developing and improving market share through local marketing in partnership with the marketing department, by supervision of Advertising & Marketing activities within the Cinema.
• To ensure all operational standards are met and delivered effectively in order to create the best environment for both guest and team members.
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Developing and executing the cinema scheduling policy.
• Effectively resolve Guest Comments.
• Weekly check on the website of the select Cinema timings/offers & promotions.
• Responsible for cinema logistics assurance; Check availability of prints and publicity materials of movies relating to the Cinema.
• Daily Business Operation (Daily cash deposits in the bank/petty cash usage & allocation).
• Supervising maintenance of the cinema information into other storage devices.

• To effectively appraise and manage team performance, in line with company policy and procedures, ensuring that business objectives and targets are achieved within appropriate timescales.
• Manage daily operations of the theatre complex (Including but not limited to: labour cost, cost of sales, revenue control, speed of service, Guest satisfaction, equipment & procedure training, safety of Guests & Employees).
• Assist with the execution of operational policies and procedures.
• Assist with the selection, training & development and employment of team members.
• Assist with maintaining control over operational expenses.
• Assist with the administration and operation for all technical systems (POS, Office Management, Projection, etc)
• Communicate and respond as required to Novo Cinemas office staff, Operations Dept team members, suppliers, contractors, and community groups/mall management in order to identify and resolve operational issues or concerns as needed.
• Maintain constant awareness of current trends within the cinema industry
• Assist with the monitoring of Guest satisfaction; determine opportunities to enhance the movie-going experience and respond appropriately to challenges or obstacles that reduce positive Guest experiences.
• Provide consistent performance feedback to team members and address performance issues in a timely manner using effective performance management tools.
• Work safely and ensure team members are made aware of, and follow, safe work practices.


• Graduate with Business studies background will be an advantage.
• Dynamic, ambitious with 3 year supervisory / management experience in either retail, leisure, or hospitality
• IT Skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office.
• Service Business Oriented/Commercial Awareness.

• Proven track record in a leadership role within a fast paced environment.
• Previous experience in service industry will be an advantage, Cinema experience preferred.
• Commitment to excellence in Guest service with proven ability to maintain significant attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
