Civil Draftsman

Job description / Role

We are currently seeking a talented Civil Draftsman to join our team for a major high-rise building project. As a Civil Draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and designs for various structural elements of the high-rise building project. You will work closely with the project engineers and architects to ensure that all designs meet the required standards and specifications. Your role will be crucial in the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings for high-rise building projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure all drawings comply with project requirements and local building codes.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Ensure that all designs are accurate, consistent, and meet the project’s technical requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of As-Built drawings and documentation at various project stages.
• Maintain and organize a system for all project drawings, documents, and revisions.
• Attend project meetings and assist in resolving technical drawing-related issues.
• Coordinate with the procurement and construction teams to ensure timely availability of drawings and specifications.

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably in high-rise building projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software (Revit knowledge is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with engineers and architects.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of structural design principles is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
