Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented civil engineer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the UAE to join our client's growing team.

The ideal candidate will assist in the planning, execution, and management of civil and interior fit-out projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in site supervision and execution of civil, fit-out, or renovation works
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans
• Monitor project progress and report updates to senior engineers or project managers
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site professionals
• Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained on-site
• Prepare daily progress reports, material requests, and inspection schedules
• Support quantity surveying, cost estimation, and documentation tasks
• Manage client inspections and resolve site issues in coordination with the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in the UAE (interior fit-out or construction preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic project tracking tools
• Familiar with UAE construction regulations and safety standards
• Strong site coordination and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure
