Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects to ensure quality and safety standards are met while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and conditions.
- Develop detailed civil engineering designs, plans, and specifications using industry software and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project feasibility and compliance.
- Manage and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety regulations, and timelines.
- Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and progress reports for management and clients.
- Identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all construction work is compliant with local regulations, codes, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and construction teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
- Preference will be given to those candidates holding C.P Certificate/s from TAQA group.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations applicable in the UAE.
- Proficiency with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional engineering license or certification will be an advantage.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards on all projects.
