Civil Laboratory Technician

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Lab Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests on construction materials and ensuring the quality and safety of civil engineering projects.

• Coordination with site team for daily inspections and arranging third party/ DCL accordingly
• Conduct and witness tests on site with third party lab in coordination with Consultant Engineer
• Submitting the Samples in DCL/Third party lab
• Coordination with sub-con/Lab for test reports
• Maintaing the Testing logs (FDT, Concrete, Asphalt...etc.) on daily basis
• Preparing concrete pouring record for daily concrete works on site
• Maintaining the lab as per Standard/Requirement
• Assisting QA/QC Engineer for daily NMR/MIR Inspections on site

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in a civil engineering laboratory setting
• Proficiency in using various laboratory equipment and testing procedures
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials and their properties
• Familiarity with quality control standards and safety protocols
• Ability to use data analysis software and prepare technical reports
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant certifications in laboratory testing procedures (e.g., ACI, ASTM) preferred
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction materials
• Willingness to work in both laboratory and field environments
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and samples as needed

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
