Civil Project Engineer

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate construction activities for timely completion of projects
• Able to understand specifications/methodology and civil drawings/finishing activities.
• Coordinate with project site teams & subcontractors, provide technical guidance and support and ensure timely completion with required quality.
• Co-ordinate with MEP and Finishing team to avoid any rework.
• Conduct materials inspections check and prepare Material Approval Report (MAR) and Material Inspection Reports (MIR).
• Conduct site work inspections and quality checks and keep records.
• Address problems that might arise during construction.
• Prepare project schedules, monitor daily progress and ensure work completion as per agreed time line.
• Liaison with quantity surveyors/Purchase team about the ordering and purchasing of necessary materials.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, verify contractor’s invoice and prepare payment recommendation as per the work order
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proven minimum 5 years’ experience in managing civil/renovation work along project management and team coordination.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and work techniques.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities.

Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and other design management tools etc.
• Familiarity with Project Management Software and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Knowledge of using SAP & ERP.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
