Job Opportunity

The key role of this position is to provide optimised management of the civil and track asset to mainline and depot power supply rail, tracks, lineside drainage systems, all building structures, landscaping, station and depot environs for Dubai Metro.

Key accountabilities

- Plan, manage and allocate resources to all aspects of maintenance activities within the sections of civil and track works including mainline and depot power supply rail, traction bonding, tracks, lineside drainage system, building structures which includes stations, depots, system ancillary buildings, sub-stations, cutting, embankments, walls, tunnels, signage &ground surfaces, elevated guideway& bridges, car parks, and landscaping;
- Supervise and oversee the subordinate managers and engineers to control the system assurance and to perform the maintenance activities and the routine duties within the corresponding sections;
- Provide support and guidance on the civil and track asset maintenance within the Engineering &Maintenance Department and to the wider O&M organisation;
- Assist as required the Engineering and Maintenance Director in updating
- the documentations and work instructions due to changes in system configuration, equipment
- maintenance requirements and health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) policy statements and customer's requirements;
- Assist the Engineering and Maintenance Director in providing strategic
- Direction, planning, and managing the development and implementation of processes for
- Minimising the life cycle maintenance costs, maximising availability of facilities and systems, providing for system safety, maximising reliability and providing adequate protection for employees, facilities, equipment, and parts;
- Lead in the production of procedures, work instructions and other documents relevant to civil &track;
- Assist Engineering and Maintenance Director in dealing with environmental issues relates to civil and track, building structures and landscaping;
- Carry out 24-hour on-call responsibility for incidents and emergency within its section;
- Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Engineering and Maintenance Director.
- Technical, Financial and People Accountabilities
- Meeting the Key Performance Indicators according to the targets agreed with the Engineering and Maintenance Director.
- Manage the maintenance sections of civil and track disciplines to ensure outputsdelivered are to an appropriate standard on time and within the maintenance budget allocated for the maintenance of corresponding sections.

Essential technical and professional skills

- Ideally a degree or higher diploma in civil engineering discipline or equivalent;
- Professionally qualified with membership of a recognised engineering institution;
