Key Relationships: Market Leaders, other Client Leaders, and other Office / Market Leadership

Client leadership within an office or market, responsible for building and maintaining strategic long term relationships with targeted clients. Contributes to the success of the firm as a whole including the areas of business development and client engagement, client and team leadership, mentoring of our people, advancing the quality of work, integrating our range of design services, managing our process and solid financial performance.

The position focuses in three key areas:
- Developing new business opportunities through the engagement of new and existing client partners to achieve top line marketing targets.
- Leading, engaging and partnering with our clients on billable project specific work, fostering strong client relationships and creating opportunities for future work.
- Leading and mentoring project teams and engaging with the practice to advance the Firm, the office and Market. Working collaboratively within our SFMO culture to advance and support high performance teams focused on delivering high quality service and innovative design solutions to our clients.

Requirements

Areas of Focus

- Client Leadership: Responsible for the leadership and growth of client relationships within an office or offices. Must be a self-starter, an entrepreneurial person with the ability to collaborate effectively with others across the full range of services provided by the firm. You will be expected to be hands-on in support of our clients and in the development of the work from the initial client visioning meetings through completion of the work.

- Top Line Development: Work with Market Leaders and other firm-wide resources to focus on growing the top line of the office and the firm, by securing new client relationships and expanding existing ones. Champion strategic client development and strategic initiatives into the client engagement process. You will seek to differentiate the client in the marketplace, promote the full range of our integrated design services, supporting the advancement of our Vision and Purpose in all phases of client engagement.

-Team Leadership Skills: Proactive development and collaborative leadership of project teams. You will build and lead teams capable of both winning and executing transformational solutions that differentiate the firm and add value for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring success both from a client perspective.

- Strategy and Planning: Understanding of the business, operations and processes of the client needs and resulting market solutions, and the ability to develop a comprehensive team of experts and thought leaders within the client focused on creative, state of the art solutions.

- Bottom Line Growth: Work with the Office Practice Leader and Business Practice Leader to ensure the Firm’s business practices goals and bottom line initiatives are successfully implemented.

- Staff Development: Mentoring and growing emerging professionals is an important responsibility. You will assist in establishing an environment that encourages leadership, integrity, humility, respect and responsibility, along with collaboration, experimentation, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
