Client Onboarding, KYC and Compliance Lead
We are seeking a Client Onboarding, KYC and Compliance Lead to join our international trading house. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, implementing, monitoring client onboarding, compliance related aspects and associated risks. This position will focus on the provision of compliant KYC onboarding services, compliance reporting requirements and analysis of associated risks for the business. As the Client Onboarding, KYC and Compliance Lead, you will also be responsible for the management and development of the KYC systems/protocols and for ensuring that KYC cases are completed efficiently and in line with global regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the key KYC point of contact for the Company
• Manage the onboarding process in line with internal policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure cases are prioritized, managed effectively and consistently, in line with the agreed processes
• Review new and existing regulatory and KYC requirements
• Conduct in depth research, Utilize knowledge and experience in a skilled and practical manner for resolution of related issues
• Escalate and oversee any compliance issue to the Compliance team as necessary
• Develop strategies for risk management
• Ensure that thorough, end-to-end quality checks of KYC cases are completed within teams to adhere to the AML policies, regulatory requirements, procedures, and processes
• Assess operational risks relating to trading
• Manage day-to-day operation of activities and the full client life-cycle process including remediation, client onboarding, offboarding, and KYC maintenance
• Integration and optimization of digital KYC workflows
• Develop global policies for operational processes and procedures
• Ensuring efficient communication across departments and offices
• Liaising with vendors and potential vendors to identify onboarding efficiencies
• Regular, real-time reporting
• Ensuring 24/7 onboarding coverage and operational excellence of the client onboarding function
Requirements
Requirements:
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in area of KYC in a financial services institution or international trading Company, preferably in both
• Extensive knowledge of digital technologies and its application for managing financial crime risk
• Experience in end-to-end AML / KYC processes which include onboarding, transaction monitoring and client screening
• Advanced knowledge of Financial Crime prevention and KYC requirements
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and evolving regulatory scenarios
• Multijurisdictional experience, understanding of complex potential issues and prevention of the issues
• Lateral thinking, Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of regulatory matters, with proven exposure to global regulations in compliance standards;
• Excellent written and spoken English, with a demonstrated ability to work with complex policy and regulatory landscape
• Strong project management and administrative skills;
