This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new Asthma and Allergy Centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Clinical Director will steer the Asthma and Allergy Center to become the leading specialized Asthma / Allergy diagnosis and management services provider across the UAE and the region. The post holder will support the Healthcare Platform - CEO with the start-up, licensing and staffing of the initial Asthma and Allergy center.

A highly driven, results-orientated physician leader, the Clinical Director will support the CEO in setting up the business, leading it to success and profitability and supporting with business development to identify expansion opportunities.

The Clinical Director will be required to ensure medical and operational excellence across the established center, ensuring that clinical services are developed and maintained to the highest standards and internationally recognized asthma and allergy management protocols.

The Clinical Director will work closely with the CEO to ensure that financial and operational goals of the healthcare platform are met and that its vision is communicated meaningfully to all stakeholders and effectively executed.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the CEO with the planning, designing, building, equipping and managing of the new center.
- Leading the creation and implementation of effective patient care and quality control protocols and programs, working closely with clinicians to ensure that they are meeting international benchmarks for quality and patient satisfaction.

Clinical responsibilities in patient-facing work include the basic requirements of:
* Diagnosing and treating patients with asthma, allergies and other similar disorders.
* Prescribing drugs and therapies.
* Analysing diagnostic test results.
* Drawing tailored disease management plans and educational programs.
- Driving a clear strategy, budget and annual plan aligned and ensuring the results are met.
- Leading the continuous implementation, review, and revision of the approved strategic plan.
- Supervising the creation and maintenance of a strong and well-known brand for the center.
- Appointing high performing clinicians and support staff as appropriate.
- Reporting operating and strategic progress to the CEO.
- Delivering results to meet or exceed financial budgets for operations, expansion and infrastructure improvement.
- Working with the CEO to ensure all financial goals are met and audit recommendations are implemented in a timely manner.
- Directing the development of policies, procedures and IT infrastructure across the clinic and the wider healthcare platform.
- Ensuring that there are robust processes in place to agree on and monitor financial and operational targets on a monthly basis.
- Achieving and maintaining necessary accreditation with healthcare regulators as well as international standards across the relevant disciplines.
- Creating an environment where employees are engaged, enabled and productive.
- Implementing governance and risk management processes and ensuring that they are effectively operated throughout.
- Building relationships with key health regulator stakeholders on service provision and rationalization of services.

Requirements

- The Clinical Director (MD – Allergist/Immunologist) will be a proven leader, clinically and financially astute, with at least 12 years progressive healthcare management experience, including at least 5 years as a healthcare organization executive within the Allergy & Immunology field.
- Board certification and specialty training in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology in both paediatric and adult patients is required.
- MBA or MHA would be desirable.
- Previous experience of a start up and growth of a similar healthcare service line would be desirable.
- Experience of growth and acquisition within the immunology / allergy market, non-acute care or comparable high-growth healthcare markets would be desirable.
