Cloud Solution Engineer

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

- Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions.
- May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions.
- Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting.
- Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events.
- Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.
- Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations).
- Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
- Further builds business and technical acumen.

- Drive customer success by acting as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable Oracle cloud solutions.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
- Architect comprehensive cloud solutions that meet customer needs and align with industry best practices.
- Present and demonstrate Oracle cloud solutions to customers, showcasing the value and benefits of our offerings.
- Create and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies by working closely with Oracle product management and engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance during the sales cycle, including proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot projects.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes , and emerging technologies to deliver strategic insights to the sales team and customers.
- Design and deliver enterprise cloud architecture that clearly articulates business value through vision, capability models, assessments, and technical architecture.
- Lead cross-functional Oracle teams to help customers design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud architecture and solutions on time.

Key Qualifications & Competencies Must-Have Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in technology and industry, with X+ years working with public cloud platforms
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a customer-facing role such as Pre-Sales Solution Architect, focusing on enterprise cloud solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant hyperscaler cloud certifications
- Experience or strong familiarity with cloud implementation and adoption cycles
- Experience with Open source, Cloud native and Oracle technologies
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
