Cluster Director of Marketing - Rooms - Dubai

Purpose:
* To drive and implement the complete marketing strategies and activities for the Dubai hotels. Work with all Dubai hotels, Rooms and Revenue teams to align key rooms marketing strategies and campaigns ensuring controlled spend and maximising ROI for each activity.
* To actively monitor, guide and support the brand's standards implementation, alignment/compliance within Dubai hotels.

Description
* Develop an annual marketing and strategic budget plan for the Dubai hotels in cooperation with the Regional Director of Marketing, that includes channel strategy, CRM, Loyalty, Partnerships & Digital marketing
* Proactively interact with Cluster Sales and Revenue teams on development and deployment of direct channel marketing programs that support acquisition and retention tactics
* Monitor, assess and report the performance of all marketing campaigns by analysing key performance indicators
* Provide business units with reports on progress and success of marketing campaigns and impact on the hotels business goals
* Work directly with Regional sales & revenue colleagues to develop direct marketing initiatives that measurably impact room revenue and drive incremental revenue from business extensions
* Interact with the Regional Sales & Revenue teams as well as the General Managers for Dubai wide campaigns
* Work closely with the Cluster PR teams, Brand, CRM, Loyalty marketing teams to ensure support of brand performance, VSG and brand marketing & PR strategies
* Interactions with hotel, operations colleagues for any wider marketing opportunities and ensure smooth coordination of campaigns
* Initiate competitive and customer insight projects to help support any direct business opportunities and revenue generating, product/service innovations.
* Work with Group e-commerce and distribution team to develop regional wide innovative/profitable digital Rooms marketing strategies
* Management of Dubai sales & brand road show stands such as ATM, with supporting collateral and localise advertising for Rooms campaigns
* Support global and regional partnership marketing relationship and working with other key regional partners to launch regional specific Rooms campaigns
* Coordinate multi property seasonal offers from a creative, media and activation perspective
* Support new openings in Dubai with launch campaigns, operational and collateral support
* Follow up and investigate on market trends and new promotional activities in order to stay the leader in the respective markets
* Fully support recruitment and talent development of Rooms Marketing teams as well as manage, motivate and support training activities

Requirements

* Marketing/Business Honours Degree
* Printing management fundamentals
* Technical understanding of photography, film, rich media
* Market planning, Project management, basic accounting, strong negotiation skills and clear understanding of ROI analysis
* Proficiency in new media/digital marketing and distribution

Experience:
* Skill in developing and making effective presentations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Analytical focus w/ strong quantitative & budget management skills
* Lead and develop high performance teams
* Min 8+ years hotel/regional marketing experience in a similar role
* Experience with luxury hotel brands (desirable)
* Operational experience in hotels/resorts or related service industry (desirable)
* Sales experience (desirable)

Skills:
* Outstanding verbal and written communications skills and the ability to persuade others to consider a different point of view.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the passion in team building and motivation
* Proficient multi budget management skills
* Flexible with schedule to meet business demands and travelling
* Strong knowledge of all media forms, consumer research and marketing campaign development/management.
