Cluster Director of Operations (fixed term contract until January 2023)

Role based in Qatar

What you will be doing:

- Manage a team of 500 plus employees
- Manage the accommodation services for 30,000 plus rooms
- Project management

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Hospitality, specialized in housekeeping
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), any additional language is a plus
- At least two years experience as an Operations Director, EAM or Hotel Manager in a mid-scale property
- At least 8 years experience in hospitality, operations or customer service
- At least 5 years experience in a leading position
- Experience with larger teams of 500 plus
- Knowledge of budget planning and cost controlling is required
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- A hands-on approach is essential
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- A valid drivers license, ideally in Qatar or an International Drivers License is a plus
- Knowledge in project- and/or risk-management is a plus
- Middle East hotel pre-opening experience desirable
- Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
- Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
- Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
