Job description / Role
Our client is an FMCG trading firm based in the UAE whose product portfolio includes items such as Dairy, Seeds, coffee and many more. They are looking to hire for the position of Green Coffee Trader to be based in Dubai.
Following are the responsibilities:
* Daily market analysis, Price fluctuation, and price fixing strategies
* Conducting events /meeting with international coffee buyers, new business proposals, on-site coffee cupping sessions.
* Organising exporting and documentation.
* Active seeking new buyers to drive demand.
* Strong marketing ability and knowledge of domestic and international coffee market.
* Strong Understanding of local and international export requirements.
* Supporting for the procurement of green coffee and quality evaluation from other origins(Asia, Africa).
* Monitoring quality inspections of incoming-in process-outgoing materials in the unit.
* Monitoring the screening of online and finished product through organoleptic & physical attributes evaluation.
* Conducting laboratory research it and trials as a part of New Product Development, which required analysing the instant coffee matching samples, assessing green coffee, roasting, physical and organoleptic attributes of the product
* Leading teams responsible for quality assurance data collection, corrective action and internal audit validation and verification
* Ensure product safety and customer compliance via an effective pest management program, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Extending his/her technical support to producers' organisations on green coffee quality control as per green coffee quality standard of Specialty Coffee Association.
Requirements
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience successfully trading premium green coffee beans.
* Having a transferable book of business particularly with large coffee roasters is a bonus.
* Outstanding communication and networking skills is necessary.
* Proven track record of sales success.
