Job description / Role
As a Commercial Director, you will develop and execute commodity trading strategy and policy for the company.
Your responsibilities include:
- Manage and ensure a smooth run workflow of purchase, sales, export of grains (wheat, corn, soybean, soybean meal, barley, sunflower, DDGS, con gluten, sugar), shipping, trading and execution of contracts including insurance contracts.
- Construct marketing plans, conduct purchase operations according to best market conditions & market data.
- Open and penetrate new markets for buying and selling.
- Enlarge commodity portfolio.
- Develop statistical models and systems to facilitate electronic trading of futures and options derivatives.
- Develop business plan for the sector.
- Secure deals with new clients.
- Monitor performance of targeted workloads on the time specified & develop second line successors.
- A Bachelor's degree with focus on Economics, Finance and Commerce.
- Minimum fifteen years experience working with the commodities (wheat, corn, soybean, soybean meal, barley, sunflower, DDGS, con gluten, sugar) markets in trading room risk, valuation and/or risk monitoring with large financial institution.
- Experience in buying and export of commodities to the Middle East and Africa region.
- Working with related brokering field (marine, oil or shipping industry).
- Proven track record of purchasing management, planning top level negotiations with international suppliers.
