Job description / Role
Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join an award winning Tier 1 Contractor in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This is an opportunity for an experienced candidate who has worked for main contractors on high value building and tower projects.
In this role, you will take responsibility for establishing effective commercial activity on a large building project, including:
- Identifying openings and risks in bids and tenders
- Supporting and leading negotiations with customers, partners and contractors
- Ensuring that cash management is effected and contractual obligations are met
- Analysing trends, challenges and prospects in key markets
- Safeguarding the delivery of stated profits and margins
- Establishing consistent change control processes so that we can agree appropriate contract price adjustments with clients
- Calculating and managing appropriate risk and opportunity allowances
- Delivering consistent value and cost reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree qualified
- 8+ years experience in commercial roles working for main contractors - Middle East experienced required
- A successful track record in leading financial management and cost control on large building projects
- A track record of managing staff on large or multiple projects
