Emirates Palace

Emirates Palace is centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, close to major visitor attractions and the main business areas of the city. Just 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 90 minutes from Dubai Airport, Emirates Palace is conveniently situated for both leisure and business travellers. Popular tourist sites close to the Emirates Palace include the Grand Mosque and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, both located 20 minutes away. The Marina Mall and major shopping attractions are also within walking distance of the hotel

Commis 2

Under the supervision of the Commis 1 and Demi Chef de Partie and within the limit of established company standards & best practices, covers the food production of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

- Pick up of goods ordered from the store or other kitchen
- Acceptance and storage of food delivery
- Ensure any stock is rotated regularly
- To assist the junior chefs carry out daily and weekly procedures including temperature checks, food labeling/dating and storage and to ensure records of such are up to date.
- Minimize wastage/spoilage
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Actively participates in hygiene and HACCP programs
- Any other duties, which may be assigned to you from time to time as directed by your Supervisor or Manager.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications

- 1-2 years' experience in Commis 2 role
- Proficient in Micros
- English Language proficiency (Preferably Additional Languages)
- Concern for quality and attention to details
- Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and can multitask
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Flexible in terms of scheduling
- Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times
- Able to stand all day
