The Commis 2 prepares the mise en place and handles food preparation and assists with food presentation as part of the kitchen brigade.

An impressive 100,000 square meters, the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai comprises 347 luxuriously appointed rooms, of which 36 are exquisitely spacious suites. Surrounded by pristinely landscaped tropical gardens are eight highly appointed royal villas with stunning views of the Palm Lagoon. The hotel's wide variety of international restaurants, boutique mall and cinema provide ample dining and entertainment attractions. With its opening in 2018, the hotel's classical design will complement the Kempinski Residences and Hotel Apartments Palm Jumeirah, which has been developed in the same architectural style and is located on the adjacent plot.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare kitchen equipment for use.
- Assemble and prepare ingredients for menu items.
- Prepare simple food items.
- Prepare food for service.
- Assist with checking, receiving and storing of goods.
- Maintain storage areas.
- Clean kitchen and equipment.
- Handle waste and linen.
- Maintain a hygienic kitchen and high standards of personal hygiene.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications

- Gastronomic education certification
- HACCP certification
- Minimum of one year experience in similar role, ideally in a 5 star luxury hospitality environment
- English - good oral and written skills
- Additional language - beneficial
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Creative, details oriented personality
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
