Commis Chef (Bakery)

Job description / Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commi Chef specializing in bakery to join our dynamic culinary team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will support the bakery kitchen by preparing high-quality baked goods and assisting in maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bread, pastries, and other bakery items following established recipes and standards.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the bakery area at all times.
- Work closely with the head baker and pastry chefs to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
- Measure and prepare ingredients accurately as per recipes.
- Monitor the quality of products and report any discrepancies to senior chefs.
- Follow health and safety guidelines meticulously to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of ingredient shortages and assist in stock rotation.

- Previous experience in a bakery or similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends as required.
