Located in the vibrant heart of Dubai, Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai offers a stylish, contemporary space where guests can explore the city's most dynamic attractions. Our employee restaurant provides an essential space for our dedicated team to enjoy nourishing and delicious meals in a comfortable environment.
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team at the employee restaurant. As a Commis Chef, you will prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals to our staff, ensuring both taste and presentation meet the high standards we strive for.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for the employee restaurant in accordance with Hyatt's standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures in accordance with local regulations.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented according to the restaurant's guidelines.
- Work efficiently as part of a team, collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff to provide excellent service to our employees.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure that kitchen supplies are replenished.
- Support senior chefs in daily tasks and work in a disciplined manner.
- Demonstrate a passion for culinary arts and a strong desire to learn and grow within the kitchen.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar entry-level culinary position is preferred.
- A passion for cooking and food.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

About the Company
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
