Commissioning Engineer - Fire Fighting Mechanical

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans for fire fighting mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of fire fighting equipment, including pumps, hoses, and valves, to verify operational readiness.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
• Provide expert guidance during the installation phase, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project timelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including test reports, commissioning checklists, and compliance certificates.
• Conduct system performance evaluations and troubleshooting to identify and rectify deficiencies in fire fighting systems.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure all commissioning activities align with national and local fire safety codes.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies in fire fighting systems to enhance commissioning practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, providing foundational knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in fire fighting systems commissioning, demonstrating hands-on expertise.
• Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills considered a valuable asset for international projects.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure system integrity during commissioning.
• Excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all components function correctly and meet safety standards before handover.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of on-site work, including lifting equipment and navigating construction sites.
