Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commodity Trader to join our dynamic team in the UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for executing trading strategies particularly in urea market, analyzing market trends, and optimizing our trading operations in the GCC and Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute trading strategies for urea and related commodities.
- Analyze market trends, price movements, and competitor activities to make informed trading decisions.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and customers.
- Monitor and report on market conditions and industry developments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and risk management.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the market.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in commodity trading, preferably in urea or agricultural products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills. (Japanese language would be a plus)
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Profound knowledge of general and international trade .
- Willing to work with different time zones, as headquarters will be in Japan.
• Willing to travel (both domestic and international) with no restrictions.
