Communication / Marketing Officer - Construction Main Contractor (Western) - Dubai

Client is a Western Construction Contractor and have been established for 50 + years. They currently have circa 20,000 employees, active in 17 countries.
They are currently looking for an experienced Communications / Marketing Officer to be based out of their Dubai office.

This person will report into the Senior Communications Manager, and will assist in developing and planning all communication initiatives to ensure effective management of the company’s reputation, brand and identity in the Middle East.

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities will be;
- Responsible for company news releases and media alerts, statements, presentations, and all other media / communications materials.
- Assist in developing, monitoring and managing social media programs and activity related to the corporate brand.
- Produce marketing material such as presentations, brochures etc
- Weekly visits to selected projects to prepare news articles for website, social media or employees with the view to have a highly active online presence.
- Assist in managing major events, external agencies, advisors and vendors.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public relations, Communications or other relevant field.
- 5 + years of communications experience. (ideally within Construction Sector.)
- Strong understanding and experience with social media in a business context.
- Excellent English writing and communication. Must be able to present confidently and must be creative.
- Excellent admin skills specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Arabic speaker is an advantage.
