Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Communications Manager, Middle East & Turkey

Purpose: To maximise the value of outbound travel to Britain from the ME Markets by delivering the Communications plan including campaign management and delivery, PR and communication and content marketing, providing excellent market intelligence and customer insights and coordinating performance reporting to ensure delivery against regional key performance targets.

STRATEGIC AND CREATIVE THINKING
• Understands and appreciates the importance of the corporate strategic framework and how it impacts one’s work
• Experience in developing & implementing a Digital Marketing / PR plan

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• Able to present concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Able to communicate across various levels of management
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ideally media-trained, with experience of presenting to a range of audiences.
• Strong report writing skills essential, with the ability to develop content suitable for different types of audiences.

TASK ORIENTATION
• Able to manage projects autonomously
• Focused and self-driven, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Highly developed organisational skills
• Attentive to detail, vigilant about accuracy and relevance of information being managed
• Proven key account management skills preferably in both government and commercial sector

FINANCIAL/ANALYTICAL SKILLS
• Good budgetary & value for money awareness
• Proven analytical skills including the ability to interpret numerical and written data, identify trends and provide contextual reports

OTHER:
• Excellent Arabic language skills, written and spoken
• Flexible/positive “can do” attitude, a team player
• Resourceful and creative; thinks outside the box
• Demonstrated understanding of Gulf Markets and UK travel industry
• Established network of local media contacts
• Tourism/Industry knowledge is a preferred but not essential
• Educated to at least a degree level (British education an advantage)

• Engaged with VisitBritain’s strategy and vision and can demonstrably contribute towards delivering these
• Able to focus on a clear goal in all actions and decisions and openly articulate this to your B2B team
• A true advocate for Britain and tourism
• Good in influencing and achieving favourable outcomes to service business needs

BEING THE BEST
• Good knowledge of Britain’s tourism product and our business with enthusiasm to constantly update skills and knowledge
• Keen to share own and VisitBritain’s expertise with external organisations and individuals
• Awareness that VisitBritain is a public body which needs to deliver and demonstrate value and probity in everything we do
• Problem-solving skills and Strategic thinking - Ability to deal effectively with problems and issues that affect overall organisational delivery
• Able to critically analyze data and information and produce quality market intelligence reports

SALARY RANGE
AED220,000 - AED240,000 per annum
