Communications Officer

Job description / Role

This position reports to the Senior Communications Officer
Be responsible for writing and producing Arabic content for the company’s Communications function across multiple touch-points, including print, social media, website, intranet and mobile apps
Be responsible for Arabic translations of existing English communications including, but not limited to, patient education brochures, articles, emails and SMS broadcasts, press releases, social media posts etc.
Act as the day-to-day point of contact for all internal and external Arabic communications within the business
Contribute creative marketing ideas to enhance the use of Arabic content on Mediclinic’s social media platforms
Constant monitoring of the Arabic brand reputation

Requirements

Fluent in English and Arabic
5-10 years’ experience working within a medical communications environment
Prior experience with English/Arabic medical translation
Advanced Arabic copywriting skills
An eye for detail
Above average time management/multitasking skills
Exposure to and understanding of different types of communications including print, web, social
An understanding of the importance of being a brand custodian
A good degree of adaptability
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Basic understanding of design packages such as Illustrator and Photoshop is advantageous
