Communications Officer

Job description / Role

This opportunity is with a well-known university in the UAE accredited by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

In this position you would be responsible for the following:

- Develop Communication Strategies: Create and manage a comprehensive plan to communicate with donors and alumni, using various channels like social media, emails, events, and more to engage them with the university’s goals.
- Coordinate with University Departments: Work closely with different parts of the university to ensure all communications are consistent and present the university positively.
- Enhance Donor Engagement: Participate in events and activities to better connect with donors and increase their support.
- Market Research: Conduct research to understand fundraising trends and identify the best strategies to reach and engage potential donors.
- Prepare Proposals and Reports: Draft proposals for fundraising campaigns and provide insights on how to target and segment donors effectively.
- Support the Director: Assist the Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs with various tasks, including administrative duties as needed.

To be successful you would ideally possess :

- A bachelor's degree in mass communications or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English writing.
