Community Manager

Job description / Role

• Content creation – writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels
• Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and other strategically relevant online properties
• Events and event planning – attending industry events in the city (often outside of 9-6 hours) and planning meetups and events at Cupagahwa with influencers and bloggers.
• Customer relations – Responsible for customer support – answering questions however they come in (phone, e-mail, social media) and managing any online feedback forums such as Zomato, TripAdvisor or any other food review pages.
• Analytics – Working with the Digital Marketing team on Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
• Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
• Liaise with Development and Sales departments to stay updated on new products and features
• Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists
• Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends
• Other activities or tasks under the direction of the Marketing Manager.

Requirements

Education Requirements
• BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• Proven working experience in Social Media marketing

Working Experience & Skills
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience working in a similar position
• Previous experience working in the Food and Beverage industry31
• Computer skills in basic Microsoft Office programs are expected
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Knowledge of social media strategy and implementation
