Compensation and Benefits Director - UAE

EMR is an emerging markets foremost provider of recruitment solutions specialised in most industrial segments and key functions. We are currently working with a leading firm looking for a Compensation and Benefits Director to be based in UAE.

Our client is in need of a Compensation and Benefits Director to be part of a growing team of HR professionals in the UAE. The candidate will lead the comprehensive design, development, implementation and oversight of compensation and benefit programs. This position leads the strategy development for compensation and benefits aimed at attracting, retaining and developing a talented workforce.

Responsibilities would include:
- Monitoring the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending revisions as well as new programs, which are consistent with compensation trends and with the company’s mission and strategic plan
- Developing and implementing the reward strategies to include: salary benchmarking, gratuity, benefits management and annual compensation events such as bonus and salary reviews
- Providing counselling to leaders on pay decisions, policies and procedures, interpretation and performance evaluations, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related challenges
- Managing executive compensation and retention including the preparation of Compensation Committee meeting materials, long term incentives, succession planning and competitive new hire packages
- Overseeing the job evaluation process to accurately and appropriately assign compensation for each job, using salary survey tools, internal equity analyses and other analytics; analysing survey results and developing specific recommendations to achieve company objectives
- Working with the finance team in preparing annual budgets and tracking all benefit-related expenses on a regular basis; readjusting forecast when necessary
- Managing and ensuring cost-effective implementation of total rewards and recognition programs and the on-going development and analysis of information and metrics
- Directing and overseeing compensation staff in the analysis of market data, salary structures and competitive salary of other companies
- Developing and disseminating effective and clear communications regarding all compensation, benefit and HRIS programs, policies and practices
- Ensuring benefit programs and supporting the company’s strategic objectives by remaining knowledgeable of key business fundamentals

Requirements

- Master’s degree in HR or similar discipline and/or CCP Certification preferred
- Minimum of 8 years managerial experience with the last 5 years in a senior compensation and benefits role
