Employment: Full Time

This Role Only for Emirati with (family Book)

• Operating as a member of the Dubai Branch Risk and Compliance team, supporting in the compliance activities with emphasis on regulatory compliance, Financial Crime (AML/CFT, Sanctions) Conduct Risk, and monitoring.
• Appointed Discipline Officer with the UAE Insurance Authority responsible for Compliance and AML/CFT.
• Advise the business on developing appropriate control processes that deliver to local (and IOM) regulatory requirements and regulatory and financial crime standards.
• Work with the branch’s Financial Crime Manager in managing daily cases reviews, provide feedback to 1st line of defence and ensure controls on financial crime regulatory requirements are effectively embedded in the branch’s procedures.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, and provide advice and expertise to ensure that the necessary compliance procedures, documentation and policies are comprehensive, up to date and communicated to all stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of compliance within product, sales and service operations areas throughout the branch by development of regular contact with internal departments.
• Support the IOM Compliance team in delivering monitoring activities and risk assessments to assess compliance, conduct, regulatory, financial crime and regulatory and operational risks to ensure achieves its business objectives.
• This role has scope across all business functions.
• The business faces several risks all of which have to be appropriately managed by the 1st line of defence with appropriate oversight by the 2nd & 3rd lines of defence.
• Significant failure could result in reputational, financial and operational impacts (including regulatory censure).

Requirements

• Holds relevant academic/ industry qualifications in Compliance and AML
• Understanding of the regulatory expectations of FPIL and ability to think long term consequences and “outside the box”.
• Understanding of relevant business areas.
• Understanding of the life insurance industry and regulatory environment.
• Ability to escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Effective communication, strong ability to influence change and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Capable of quickly acquiring new knowledge.
• Ability to achieve results through setting and delivering clear objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong English and Arabic command, both oral and written
