Job description / Role
Our client, a well-established real estate development company is looking for an Compliance Officer to join their Dubai office.
The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management and the industry’s principles.
Responsibilities:
• Act as key person for the oversight of all AML/CFT and sanctions matters, including implementation of effective and sustainable controls
• Oversee systems and controls to Identify and mitigate potential areas of AML compliance vulnerability and risks/gaps and develop/implement pragmatic corrective action plans
• Prepare reports for senior management, auditors, and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
• Interaction with external legal consultants, banks and government agencies on AML/CFT
• Participation in design, review and revise compliance policies, procedures, and controls to meet applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice standards
• Promoting, demonstrating, and embedding a strong compliance culture in organization
• Conduct due diligence checks and ongoing AML reviews for existing and new business partners
• Monitoring internal IAR reports and ensuring that appropriate IAR measures are taken
Requirements
Requirements:
• At least 2-3 years in the field of AML/CFT (AML)
• Good knowledge of Russian and English (Upper-Intermediate level)
• Technical knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, including AML/CTF/Sanctions, Conduct of Business, FATCA/CRS, and Data Protection
• Excellent verbal communication, strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
• Experience in UAE or MENA region
