Compliance Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Manager to join our client's dynamic financial services team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory compliance to ensure the company operates within legal frameworks and internal policies, mitigating risks and fostering a culture of ethical business conduct.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with UAE regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to detect and respond to compliance issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance standards and expectations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries or audits effectively.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Prepare and present reports on compliance status to senior management and stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in compliance within the financial services sector, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and international compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders.
- High integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent are preferred.
