A recently established investment management firm in DIFC (the “Firm”) is looking to hire a compliance officer. The Firm is owned by leading investment groups from the GCC and is focused on managing funds investing in real estate assets and structured-finance securities. The Firm is looking to hire a compliance executive to lead all compliance aspects at the Firm from its startup stage. The Role:
• Responsibility for establishing the compliance procedures and framework, in conjunction with our external compliance consulting firm
• Handling compliance, AML, and related functions on ongoing basis
• Liaising with the regulator regarding compliance matters
• For a candidate with the right experience, the opportunity exists to expand the role to include more responsibilities and growth opportunities
Requirements
The Candidate:
• Minimum of 3 years of compliance work experience and minimum of 6 years of total work experience in a financial institution or in a regulatory/finance/investment function
• Excellent academic record
• Excellent English-language spoken and written communication skills
• High level of maturity, well-developed teamwork skills, and ability to work independently with limited guidance
• Candidates must be currently living in the UAE
