Job description / Role
We require those with excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of compliance due diligence and implementation to support our client as they continue their international growth. Based in Dubai, the successful candidate will ensure the group operates within the law and meets current regulatory requirements by creating and upholding compliance procedures and policies which reflect best practice for the regions in which they operate.
The role assists the General Counsel, coordinating and driving effective compliance and regulatory strategy and frameworks across the group. You will create, implement, and monitor the group’s global and local compliance policies and SOP, investigate and report compliance incidents to identify causes and implement mitigation plans. You will perform ongoing reviews of risk factors and indicators, regular gap analysis to identify inconsistencies in procedures across brands and perform periodic audits to ensure policy requirements are adhered to across the group.
The role will also require you to act as DPO for group entities and assist local country DPO’s as necessary. You will need to monitor compliance with data protection policies and legislation, AML/ CTF/ Sanctions/ Modern Slavery and Human Rights. There will also be general banking compliance and client KYC.
To apply for this vacancy, it is essential that you have relevant compliance and risk expertise and experience of a minimum of 3 years, with native skills in English. A highly inclusive team player, the successful candidate will also be well educated to degree level. Experience with data protection/ AML/ CTF and Human Rights and HSSE policies is required.
